Louth based Huey And The Hobgoblins have spent the last 4 years transforming from a fledgling 3-piece to a venue-packing 8-piece funk/blues/folk/retro-pop band. The band have a big love for great music and good times, and this has become a visible part of the band's live performances.
Taking inspiration from their many and varied influences such as The Meters, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Rory Gallagher, Muddy Waters, Lalo Schifrin, The Band, Gomez, Miles Davis and Bob Dylan, The Hobgoblins have sculpted their sound into something someone once described as "Funky Mexican Soul", which is as good a description as any!
The 'Goblins have already taken their unique live sound to the top venues around Ireland, as well as Electric Picnic and Oxegen, making a name for themselves as a crowd pleasing good-time band playing catchy, upbeat and original tunes.
They've already taken bookings for the summer festivals of 2012, and are preparing for their upcoming tour of Europe. They hope to release their eagerly awaited first album later in the year, after both of the bands independently funded and released singles went straight into the Irish Top 50 in their first week
Onwards and upwards 'Goblin style, gathering more momentum, believers and friends every step of the way!
